Looking carefully at the FB sign-up page, there's a pile of one-line <script>'s that can be rolled into a for-loop.
Just because they can be rolled up doesn't mean they should be.
Just because coding is a quick test of (overly) specific knowledge doesn't mean it should have so much influence over hiring decisions.
Brilliant software industry is brilliant.
