I feel this title will be used quite often knowing my penchant for disasters and "whoopsies".
It goes along with the original thread title, so I'm leaving it here.

So, story 1 of my [mis]adventures. I tried to help Derek move. He is a random friend of friend I met on campus and later stumbled into our games of Bang! (as Jason would know). He is from Vancouver, so the change in apartment once he got back was not pleasant. I seemed to be the only one available, so I came to his help. He suggested a moving van, since both of us had no working vehicle to work with (and to be safe on storage space).
The first act of ridicule was his request to have me share the cost of a moving van. It'll get silly.
I'm not sure why I would be involved with his van costs if it is only his stuff moved. Later on, he gives up on the idea and was prepared to put his credit card up for payment.
The misadventure for me begins here. His second act is to push the use of the truck further. He mentioned a trip to IKEA being on his agenda, as though he has some secondary plan that I had no awareness to. Initially rejecting the idea too, he says otherwise, he would sleep on the floor. While parking with my ginormous van, I had skimmed another car on my way parking in. Sadly, this car belongs to one of the IKEA employees, who then pops up to me, "Dude, you hit my car!"
Derek, who was in IKEA at the time I was parking (I dropped him off), came back after 20 or so minutes of delay and came back with a mattress. He was still unwilling to come back when I said an accident occurred, ignoring my request to have him look out and help me out on the incident. At the time, as I was driving off and shifting the conversation, his focus was easily taken off the issue of the car, but was: "Man, I hope the cost of this van is cheap."
I finished my day with two problems and a day of time lost.
