Birthday alert!

Let's hold a random gathering for a not particularly special occasion next Saturday, Nov 10.
We can go out to eat somewhere or stay at my house for home-cooked dishes.
Aside: I have too many dessert ideas and not enough appetite to try them all.

Does anyone have a preference for lunchtime or dinnertime? Or want to suggest a different day?

I'm doing tutoring at noon-1:30pm, as far as limitations go for Saturday. If our presence is good reason for you to try making a bunch of desserts, I'm willing to use my stomach to this purpose!

We can make it a group team-cooking thing. Definitely worthy of trying, even non-cookers still serve as an able pair of hands, I'm sure. I wonder where your cuisine skills are at too. =P

Looks like we can agree on dinner for Saturday. Team-cooking is a brilliant idea! It'll keep us busy for a good part of the afternoon.

Strictly speaking, I'm a baker because I rarely use the stovetop. So my main course ideas are - not surprisingly - pizza and roast potatoes. Getting the BBQ out is another option. If anyone feels adventurous, there are countless ideas on allrecipes.cn ...

Peas, corn, and dried sausage is my standard. The meat can really vary, carrots aren't a bad choice either.

But anywho, I'm a bit under the weather and I'm in an explosive case with the washrooms currently...so I'm staying away from solid foods for a while. I'll still come along for Saturday night, but I'll likely be rationing on apple juices or whatever other clear liquids are present. =P
